Optioneer has various types of results. The way we handle exports may differ depending on the type of result you wish to export.

The following types of exports are possible:

  • Exporting Individual Centrelines

  • Exporting Metrics for the Full Route

  • Exporting Per-Point Metrics

  • Exporting Crossings Metrics

  • Exporting Option Metrics for Multiple Options

  • Exporting Centrelines for Multiple Options

  • Exporting Vertical Profile Charts or Composition Charts

Exporting Individual Centrelines

Description: The centreline can be downloaded so it can be added to other GIS apps.

Format: .geojson

Action: In the Data window go to the list of lines. Click the three dots icon next to the line you wish to export and select 'Export'.

If the centreline you wish to export only exists as a result, you will need to extract the centreline from the result first.

Exporting Metrics for the Full Route

Description: An excel sheet containing all of the parameters describing the full route. This includes total length, cost, the distance through data layers and minimum distance to constraints.

Format: .xlsx

Action: In the Analyze window go to the list of selected options in the Option Selection tile. Click the three dots icon next to the line you wish to export and select 'Export Option'. Select 'Option Metrics Excel Exporter' from the format drop-down menu. Enter a name for the document and click 'Export'.

Exporting Per-Point Metrics

Description: An excel sheet containing all of the parameters that are provided per point. This includes elevation, coordinates, the distance to constraints at each point and if the point falls within a constraint.

Format: .xlsx

Action: In the Analyze window go to the list of selected options in the Option Selection tile. Click the three dots icon next to the line you wish to export and select 'Export Option'. Select 'Quantities Excel Exporter' from the format drop-down menu. Enter a name for the document and click 'Export'.

Exporting Crossings Metrics

Description: An excel sheet containing all of the parameters related to crossings of linear features. This includes the type of crossing, their location and the elevation at that point.

Format: .xlsx

Action: In the Analyze window go to the list of selected options in the Option Selection tile. Click the three dots icon next to the line you wish to export and select 'Export Option'. Select 'Items Excel Exporter' from the format drop-down menu. Enter a name for the document and click 'Export'.

Exporting Option Metrics for Multiple Options

Description: An excel sheet containing the metrics for a collection of route options.

Format: .xlsx or .geojson

Action: In the Analyze window, select all of the routes you wish to export the metrics for. Click on the 'Export Selected Options' icon in the top right-hand corner of the Option Selection tile. Select 'Multi Excel Option Metric Exporter' from the format menu and click 'Export'.

Exporting Centrelines for Multiple Options

Description: A .geojson file containing all of the centrelines from the selected routes.

Format: .geojson

Action: In the Analyze window, select all of the routes you wish to export the centrelines for. Click on the 'Export Selected Options' icon in the top right-hand corner of the Option Selection tile. Select 'Multi Option GeoJSON with Metrics' from the format menu and click 'Export'.

Exporting Vertical Profile Charts or Composition Charts

Description: An image file containing the vertical profile or composition chart.

Format: .svg or .jpg

Action: In the pop-up window containing the vertical profile or composition chart, click the three dots icon and select 'Export SVG' or 'Export JPG' depending on which format you prefer.
